Edwin Sandoval, Creating Kokedamas

Edwin Sandoval is the founder of Ritzy Blooms, a Fort Lauderdale based floral and plant design studio known for creating refined arrangements using fresh, preserved, and living botanicals. With a background in design and a passion for plants, Edwin brings a thoughtful and artistic approach to modern botanical presentation.

Kokedama, a Japanese inspired planting technique, transforms plants into sculptural moss wrapped forms that blur the line between nature and design. In this live demonstration, Edwin will guide attendees through the process of creating a kokedama from start to finish while sharing insight into materials, plant selection, and care. The presentation will also explore how kokedama can be used in contemporary spaces as an alternative to traditional potted plants, offering a more organic and evolving form of living décor.

To conclude the presentation, attendees will be invited to participate in a raffle for the chance to take home one of two handcrafted kokedamas, including the one created live during the demonstration.
