SOLID WASTE AUTHORITY – No Fee
Our field trip will be to Solid Waste Authority plant on Thursday Nov 13th at 1PM located at 6751 N Jog Rd, off of Blue Heron Blvd & Beeline Hwy. There is no charge to us. We will be shown a close up look at the SWA management site & see what happens to our trash & recycles once they are picked up. We will see the renewable energy plant where trash is turned into electric. We will be taken by bus to see several other buildings, ending with the recovered materials plant that sorts tons of recycling.
